Milling and turning
We specialize in milling small and mid-sized parts at medium to high volumes, in any material. Our customers have come to rely on us for on-time delivery, exceptional quality (certified dock to stock), and high precision (tolerances down to 2 tenths).
Swiss turning
Our Swiss screw machines with live tooling make parts out of polymers, aluminum, steel, and advanced alloys. We run 24/7 as needed to get high volume production runs delivered on time and with perfect quality every time.
Assembly
From coating, plating and anodizing, to kitting and complex assemblies, we have the capacity and the capability to solve a wide array of problems for our customers so that you get a finished component in the form you need it for your operations. Contact us for options.

Andrew Hennessy
Andrew is a co-founder of American Precision Technologies, and spends most of his time scanning the market for the next set of capabilities that we can add to better serve our customers. When not at a trade show or in the shop, you can usually find him fishing and hunting throughout New York state.
President -- Concept Components
Jim McGuigan
Jim founded Concept Components in 1989, and he joined forces with American Precision Technology in 2024 to enable continued growth and employment for his team while starting succession planning for himself. If you visit the facility on Long Island, you're likely to find Jim with his head in a machine, solving a problem so that the customer never has to encounter it. When not in the shop, Jim enjoys patronizing his favorite restaurants or leading his granddaughters on adventures and hijinx.
Co-founder, board member
Jonathan Slonim
Jonathan is a co-founder of APT, and can frequently be found reading articles in Practical machinist and looking for the best ways to increase shop efficiency. He has been trying to learn Mazatrol, but the milling department lead still won't let him touch a program without careful oversight. In his spare time, Jonathan likes to read, hike, and ride bikes with his wife and two young daughters.
Actively Acquiring Exceptional Shops
American Precision Technologies started out as an idea: what if we could bring together the top shops in the country to provide an unparalleled customer experience? We invest in technology, in people, and in sales and engineering infrastructure to make sure that if a part leaves one of our shops, it has the APT seal of approval.
We started in 2024 with our first shop, and are currently seeking additional shops focused on medical, aerospace, and commercial parts. There are 30,000 shops in the country, but we (and our customers) know that some stand out far above the rest.
